Certificate of Recognition (COR) is available to companies with 11 or more employees.
To Achieve COR
Step 1: Register your company in the WCB Partnerships in Injury Reduction Program
Step 2: Successfully complete the AMTA’s 2-day Health and Safety System Building (HSSB) course
Step 3: Develop and implement a health and safety management system that meets provincial OHS standards
Step 4: Select a Certified AMTA Consultant Auditor
Step 5: Have an audit completed and a achieve a passing mark (80% overall score, with no less than 50% in any one element) and submit to AMTA for review
A minimum audit review fee of $200 is applied to non-members
To Maintain COR
The COR is valid for three years from the date of the issue, providing that all maintenance audit requirements are met. The date the audit is completed on-site in the certifying year is the COR issue date.
COR maintenance audits can be conducted internally by an Internal COR Auditor or a Certified AMTA External Consultant.
